POLICE CADET OPERATION FLEETWOOD |
||
4 lucky Police Cadets made their way to Fleetwood Police Station on Saturday (20 September) to take part in the first ever mock drugs warrant. It was held in Fleetwood’s Clear, Hold, Build area and aimed to give the cadets an exciting look into how we execute Op Warrior warrants in the area, as part of the ‘Clear’ phase of the project. The day began with a brief at the police station, before the cadets piled into the carrier which was waiting for them and headed off to the location. Once at the location (a local flat) it was all systems go, as our cadets (with the support of the Neighbourhood Team) entered the flat. A thorough search of the flat revealed a cannabis grow in the flat, alongside multiple drugs and our cadets wasted no time arresting a ‘suspect’. A police cordon was then put in place and searches continued inside, which led to a second arrest of a ‘suspect’. After an adrenaline-packed few hours, the cadets returned to the station to debrief. The whole day was organized by PCSO Nick Barber: “Our Police cadets are aspiring young people that deserve to have an opportunity to see how our Constabulary operates by letting them get up close and involved in daily operations. Young people are our next generation, so treating them to an experience like this is for some, a once in a life time memory” | ||
